In order to retrieve your creativity, you need to find it. The morning pages are the primary tool of creative recovery. -
Julia Camerson
I sometimes find it difficult to sit and do morning pages when there is so much creative ’stuff’ that I want to launch into. And yet I know I must discipline myself to sit quietly and write my three pages. It is essential that I write the crap out of my head before I start my day.
In doing so I gain clarity and focus. My thoughts are no longer pursuing or striving, they sit still, they have had their say on the page and now in their absence I become mindful of a deeper silence. I am free to receive inspiration, free to receive direction from the great creator and producer of life.
In this state I have witnessed remarkable work flow through me. It is not of my doing. I have simply learn’t how to become receptive.
Morning pages clear the channel that provides me with spiritual guidance, it is an exercise that strengthens my creative muscle and keeps me receptive to higher consciousness. Open to divine inspiration, I become a highly creative and productive being – nothing seems impossible in my life.
What is your experience as a result of morning pages? Do you feel light and free after completing them? Has your energy changed or shifted?

hello kazi
thanks for creating this space i have been interested in the artists way for a while. I have a friend who changed her life as a result of working the Artist’s Way.
Honestly I struggled at first with the morning pages, it felt a bit pointless, but Im starting to notice more clarity and Im getting more things done than I use to. So have decided to give it time.
I work full time but I want to start my own business but not sure what I want to do. Im hoping to get some guidance and direction from the workshop. love the http://www.creativedetox.com site I got a lot from it.
